Fresh KPSC recruitment scam rocks Karnataka as Congress supports anti-NEET agitation in Delhi
The affected candidates Thursday approached the Vidhana Soudha Police Station, demanding an FIR into the matter and a thorough investigation.
The Cockroach Janta Party-led agitation at Jantar Mantar, Delhi, has expanded into a nationwide student movement with protests being held across several states demanding Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation over alleged paper leaks and police crackdown against students.
In response to the brutal police crackdown on students during their July 20 march to Parliament, the CJP on Thursday issued a nationwide call for peaceful protests on Friday, urging students, youth organisations and civil society groups to organise demonstrations in every district under the slogan, “Every District. One Day. One Demand.”

The CJP asked protesters to gather peacefully and read out the students’ demands aloud.

Meanwhile, Supreme Court lawyers staged a protest under the banner “Save Democracy, Save Constitution” to express their solidarity with the students protesting at Jantar Mantar.
“We’re standing with all the students who are protesting for their rights, and we want justice for all of them,” one advocate said.
They also condemned the alleged police brutality against students.

In Kerala, the Student Federation of India (SFI) organised a march to Lok Bhavan in Thiruvananthapuram in solidarity with Jantar Mantar protesters and demanded thr resignation of Pradhan.
In West Bengal, students staged a protest at Park Circus in Kolkata and expressed supoort for the CJP-led agitation at Jantar Mantar.
Maharashtra witnessed large-scale demonstrations in Mumbai, Nashik, Nagpur and several other cities, where thousands of protesters took to the streets backing the Jantar Mantar movement and demanding Pradhan’s resignation.
In Nagpur, police allegedly resorted to a lathicharge after protesters gathered to demand the Education Minister’s resignation over paper leak allegations.

A large number of protesters also assembled in Chandigarh, raising slogans and demanding Pradhan’s resignation.
In Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s home state Gujarat, young students carried out a peaceful protest march in Ahmedabad.
Several districts across Rajasthan also witnessed demonstrations against the Union Education Minister over paperleaks.
